6 Questions To Ask Yourself If You’re Looking To Lose Weight

November 7, 2022

If you’ve been reading my posts recently, I just want to say thank you. I’m on a mission to make people healthier, happier and fulfilled with their life.

As a coach my main value is education, I always break down complex subjects as simple as possible and I’m going to do the same here today.

Weight loss can be complicated but that comes from a lack of education and understanding. Iwill always explain to you why you’re doing something rather than just giving a plan that fits all. So, with these 6 questions, write them out an answer them.

1. Do you believe in yourself?

In order for you to lose weight, become a healthier person you must be that person. Deep down are you telling yourself you can’t do it? Or do you have the self-belief that you can do this? It’s a lack of faith and confidence which holds people back in life.

2. Is losing weight important to you?

Do you value being healthy? If you’re happy or don’t care about becoming healthier that’s absolutely brilliant. However, if you’re the person I want to speak with you need to value yourself and your health when venturing on this journey of yours. If not, you’ll end up back in bad habits repeating the same actions making zero progress. Harsh I know, but when don’t I give tough love?

3. Do you value your health?

I mean your mental health here; I have never met somebody with amazing mental health who’s out of shape. You should be obliged to be the best possible person you can be, for yourself and the people you love. Becoming physically healthier will in turn improve your mental health. Again, do you value yourself enough to improve your mental health? I hope you do.

4. Are you willing to put in the work?

In today’s society there’s no hard work anymore, we swipe right or left. Order food online, everything is within our finger tips so it’s no surprise people don’t bother getting into shape. With my clients I always coach long term, what will your life look like 6 months from now? Not how can you lose 1 stone in a month then just to put it back on. Focus on making a lifestyle change.

5. Do you have naysayers in your life?

Be careful who’s by your side on this journey of yours, improving your life is a great way at identifying who is and isn’t your friend. If someone isn’t happy for you to get in shape, you may need to reconsider the friendship or reduce the time spent with them.

6. Are you willing to change?

I always say this, “IN ORDER FOR THINGS TO CHANGE, YOU MUST CHANGE”. If you’re not willing to get out of your comfort zone, pursue a better and more fulfilling life then you’re going to end going around circles once again.
